Nutts Cup Team Profile #2: The Short-Legged, Long Bodied Copper Enthusiasts
This team is made up of everyone’s favourite Pup, the one and only T-Bear, and little Bear’s better half, the Dashound.
Team strengths:
PHYSICALLY: Any movement where having short limbs provides and advantage. Here’s video evidence of T-Bear’s 37 Ring Dips at last year’s Regional
competition in Okotoks.
MENTALLY: I think this team’s biggest strength will be their ability to keep their heads even in the toughest battles.
THE PUP: The Pup’s life motto is to be a happy man, an attitude that will definitely help him out come competition time. He doesn’t take these things too seriously, so he will not self-destruct. Not only that, this guy has a reputation for picking deceivingly strong teams (ie. Team Flutie back in the day when they took down the Mad Lab series). Simply put, his teams always contend.
T-BEAR: I’d put my money on T-Bear in a fight over men twice his size. In a sport that prides itself on the knowable and unknowable, you never know when this might come in handy.
THE DASH: For many months, the little Dash was in a relationship with Little Bear, where she was left wondering if her boyfriend, who sometimes has a hard time expressing emotions, really loved her. And through it all, she didn’t go a-wall crazy like most women would. Any girl who can endure what she did, keep her head, remain calm and collected, and even flourish in her relationship, will have no problem keeping her cool competing in a CrossFit competition. The Dash is a ROCK. And she can do muscle ups now!
This team might sneak up on you. Don’t count them out come Nutts Cup time.
